“TALAGANG NO MORE EXESHOT,” ANNOUNCED Z4PNU FOLLOWING THE RUMOURED BUYOUT OF THE TEAM
Following the rumor of a roster buyout between Execration and another organization, Z4pnu sadly announced in a vlog titled “NEW TEAM” that Season 7 will be the squad’s last ride in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League-Philippines (MPL).
“Hintayin niyo ‘yung team namin, hinihintay lang namin ‘yung meeting ng mga boss namin, pati mga boss nila, kung anong mangyayari bukas kasi magkakausap na,” Z4pnu shared in his vlog.
“May bagong team tayo, nakakalungkot ‘man… Talagang no more Exeshot,” he revealed.
Execration pulled a massive comeback in the last Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) where they bested MPL champs and Filipino rival Blacklist International via a 4-1 victory last June 13, Sunday.
Saddened by the development, Z4pnu averred that the team will not be separated but only to be transferred to another squad.
“Kahit ako. nalulungkot ako na wala na ‘yung Execration sa next MPL. Pero kami, hindi naman kami mawawala. Lilipat lang kami ng ibang team. Buo pa rin kami na makukuha,” he added.
Sources told Tiebreaker Times that Execration has been excluded from the initial list of teams for the upcoming MPL-Philippines Season Eight tilt, which will be featuring a franchise-based model.
In addition, a source has revealed that one of the reasons that the based-squad will not be joining the league was due to financial constraints.
Execration joined the MPL back in Season Two, wherein Z4pnu and Jeff “Jeffqt4ever” Anaya led the team.
It got its highest finish last Season 7 wherein Duane “Kelra” Pillas and Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog trailed their way to the grand finals facing off the league-leading Blacklist International.
However, the team fell short in Game Seven against Tier One Entertainment’s esports team backed by power duo V33Wise and key player Oheb, losing the Season 7 title to Blacklist International.
