ALEX EALA BOUNCES BACK WITH A WIN IN ORANGE BOWL OPENER
The Filipina sensation tennis player Alex Eala bagged her first win in Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships after a back injury.
The 16-year-old Filipina humbled American Charlotte Owensby in the first round of the Girls Singles’ division with a score of 6-2, 6-3.
With such a feat, Eala redeemed her pride after her early exit in the W25 Milovice in the Czech Republic last month.
Moreover, Eala is set to make up for her two months of lost opportunities since her foot injury in September.
Eala’s second-round match will be against Czech Republic’s Kristyna Tomajkova on this day.
In the doubles play, on the other hand, Eala and Sierra will battle against the American duo Krystal Blanch and Madeleine Jessup for the first round.
