LA UNION PROVINCIAL GOV’T DONATES P17-M WORTH OF BOOKS TO DEPED
THE PROVINCIAL government of La Union, through the Provincial School Board, turned over textbooks and workbooks worth P17.97 million to the Department of Education La Union Schools Division Office.
Governor Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David said the donation is in support to DepEd’s reading program.
She pledged support to DepEd’s education programs to ensure the quality of education.
A total of 44,229 learning materials were donated to DepEd-LUSDO.
These consisted of Filipino textbooks and erasable workbooks on reading, writing, mathematics and science.
Present during the turnover ceremony were Dr. Dominga Laud, DepEd-LUSDO officer-in-charge and assistant Schools Division superintendent, Dr. Dominga Lim, president of the Non-Teaching Personnel, and DepEd-LUSDO Budget Officer Wevelyn Rimando.
