CLINICAL instructors and 100 nursing students in Aklan province were tapped as Covid19 vaccinators during the National Vaccine Days campaign.

“The province targets to vaccinate more Aklanons in this campaign through partnership with different nursing schools, Info Tech colleges, Sangguniang Kabataan, youth groups and government agencies like Bureau of Fire Protection, the Department of Education, and hospitals,” the Provincial Health Office said.

Students also served as health screeners and pre/post-vaccination monitors with the supervision of licensed physicians and nurses.

The national jab campaign will end on December 1.

Earlier, the Commission on Higher Education and the Department of Health allowed postgraduates, undergraduate interns, clinical clerks and fourth year medicine and nursing students to become Covid19 vaccinators.

“The move aims to speed up the government’s vaccination program,” CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera III said.
