VICE PRESIDENT and Education Secretary Sara Duterte will attend the launch of San Juan City’s free fiber internet in public schools.

Mayor Francis Zamora invited Duterte to the launch at the Pinaglabanan Elementary School on Tuesday to witness the event.

All 13 public schools in the city will be provided with fiber optic internet connection and WiFi in all classrooms and in common areas of the school.

The city government also provided 55-inch smart TVs in all classrooms.

“Giving our students quality education is part of my ten-point agenda as mayor which is in line with our objective of being a smart city. We want to empower our public school students by providing them with facilities and equipment which are comparable or may even be better than what private schools have,” Zamora said.

A short demonstration will also be conducted in the classroom for multilingual instructional materials to further enhance the learning experience of the students.
