THE DEPARTMENT of Science and Techology-Science Education Institute encouraged Grade 12 students who intend to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to apply for the 2023 Undergraduate Scholarship Program.

“The application is open to all students in the STEM track program and those non-STEM students who belong to the top 5 percent of their graduating class,” DOST-1 Regional Director Armando Ganal said.

Applicants must be natural-born Filipinos, have good moral character and in good health.

All Grade 12 students under the STEM strand are qualified to apply.

Interested applicants may apply online through https://www.science-scholarships.ph/ until December 2, 2022.

In-person qualifying examination will be on March 11 and 12, 2023 in various test centers.

Those who qualified for the 2023 S&T Undergraduate Scholarships Examination must pursue a Bachelor of Science degree program in any of the S&T priority fields of study at a state university or college or any private higher education institution that is recognized by the Commission on Higher Education as Center of Excellence or Center of Development or with at least FAAP Level III accreditation.

Scholars will be given tuition subsidy and book allowance of P40,000 and P10,000 per academic year, respectively.

They will also enjoy a monthly stipend of P7,000 for 10 months each academic year.
