THE DEPARTMENT of Education is urging stakeholders to support its four key learning programs aimed at strengthening foundational skills across grade levels.

These initiatives include the Bawat Bata Bumabasa Program, Literacy Remediation Program, Summer Academic Remedial Program, and the Learning Camp.

“We call on our partners and stakeholders to stand with us in this mission. Every Filipino child deserves the chance to read, to understand, and to succeed—and it will take all of us working together to make that happen,” said Education Secretary Sonny Angara.

“More than just a summer initiative, these programs are part of a broader movement to rebuild the foundations of learning, one reader at a time.”

DepEd emphasized that the summer programs are part of a holistic education recovery strategy that integrates targeted instruction, volunteer mobilization, learner well-being, and community engagement—ensuring that no learner is left behind.
