CEAP URGES STUDENTS, PERSONNEL TO REGISTER AND VOTE FOR 2022 ELECTIONS
THE CATHOLIC Educational Association of the Philippines called on senior high school students and Catholic school personnel to register to vote for the upcoming national elections.
CEAP-National Capital Region Trustee Fr. Nolan Que said change will only happen if people will do their duties and obligation to God and country.
“We call on all Catholic school personnel and all senior high school students of our schools, to fulfil their God-given duty and right to vote so that all of us may be able to select the candidates that best fit the duties required on governing the Catholic faithful,” he said.
Que further stressed that a ballot is a symbol of the foundation of a democratic government where people have the right to choose their leaders.
“Its sacredness is the inherent duty of Catholics to become the instruments and channels through which authority flows from the hands of God into the hands of our elected leaders,” he said.
He also referred to ballots as `sacred’.
“The ballot is sacred because it guarantees Catholics, who are conscious of their accountability to God, vote to safeguard God’s will on who is best to lead the country,” he said.
