Pasay City Mayor Imelda ‘Emi’ Calixto-Rubiano filed her certificate of candidacy on Monday.
With her team were her brother Rep. Antonino Calixto, Vice Mayor Noel del Rosario and Councilors Mark Calixto, Grace Santos, Tonya Cuneta, Ambet Alvina, Marlon Pesebre and Ding Santos for District 1.
They will run under the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan party.
Calixto-Rubiano pledged to continue her programs on health, housing, education, environment, economy, livelihood and peace and order.
The mayor served as the representative of the lone district of Pasay City from 2010 to 2019.
In Makati City, Mayor Abigail Binay is seeking a third term.
Binay’s representative filed her COC on October 1.
Vice mayor Monique Lagdameo is her running mate.
Meanwhile, Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez hopes to swap posts with younger brother 1st District Rep. Eric Olivarez.
Eric formally announced his bid to run for mayor last week but has yet to file his COC.
His running mate will be Guada Golez, sister of Vice Mayor Rico Golez.
The older Olivarez last occupied a House post in 2013.
2nd district Rep. Gus Tambunting, also an ally and partymate of the Olivarez brothers, will seek reelection.
In Muntinlupa, Representative Ruffy Biazon will run for mayor in 2022. Vice Mayor Artemio Simundac will be his running mate.
