VICTORY CHRISTIAN INT’L SCHOOL STUDENT WINS IN PH MATH OLYMPIAD
A STUDENT from the Victory Christian International School won first place in the recently concluded 25th Philippine Mathematical Olympiad.
Grade 11 student Filbert Ephraim Wu bested 20 other national finalists. He bagged P25,000, a medal, trophy and certificate.
On the other hand, Mohammad Nur Casib of the Philippine Science High School Central Mindanao Campus was named the first runner-up. Casib won P20,000, a medal, trophy and certificate.
Meanwhile, Raphael Dylan Dalida of the Philippine Science High School Main Campus was the second runner-up. Dalida got P15,000, a medal, trophy and certificate.
Kristen Steffi The of the Ateneo de Manila Senior High School was the Top Female Contestant, while Jerome Austin Te of Jubilee Christian Academy received the Top Junior Contestant award.
The PMO is the oldest and most prestigious mathematics competition among secondary school students.
It is the breeding ground for the country’s representatives to the International Mathematical Olympiad that is held annually.
