USC TO GIVE FINANCIAL AID TO TOP INCOMING STUDENTS FOR AY 2024-2025
THE UNIVERSITY of San Carlos will give financial aid starting the Academic Year 2024–2025 to incoming first-year students with exceptional Senior High School grades.
USC Senior High School graduates with the three highest grades in each strand (STEM, HUMSS, AD, ABM) are eligible for merit scholarships:
• Rank 1: 100% tuition fee waiver (excluding laboratory and other fees)
• Rank 2: 75% tuition fee waiver (excluding laboratory and other fees)
• Rank 3: 50% tuition fee waiver (excluding laboratory and other fees)
• For Top Graduates from Other Schools
Meanwhile, the top graduate of each strand from other schools will receive a 100% tuition fee waiver, excluding laboratory and other fees.
To retain these scholarships, USC said students must maintain a minimum GPA of 1.7 each semester and avoid grades of 5.0, NC, or INC. Failure to meet these requirements will result in disqualification.
Interested applicants must submit the following to the Office of Alumni Affairs, Scholarships, and Job Placement:
• Completed scholarship application form (available from the Office of Recruitment and Admissions) with a 2×2 colored picture
• A letter from the SHS Principal certifying academic rank and grades
• Proof of extracurricular activities and/or leadership roles.
USC said Merit scholars must not receive additional scholarships or privileges; avoid remunerative employment; maintain good academic standing, adhere to university regulations, and make a down payment upon enrollment for laboratory and other fees.
