UP TO PROVIDE COVID19 JABS TO GRADUATING STUDENTS
THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines will vaccinate graduating students who will attend face-to-face classes.
“Due to the limited number of available vaccines, only graduating students who will participate in F2F classes or activities from your academic unit may be accommodated now,” UP Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Theresa Payongayong said.
“As a support to our students, the UPD Covid19 Task Force is offering interested students a vaccination slot in its Bakunahan sa Diliman,” she said.
She added that the university sought the permission of the Commission on Higher Education for the holding of limited face-to-face classes for selected courses.
Only 400 students are eligible for this program, which represent less than two percent of the entire student body.
If approved, students in archaeological, music, and art studies, as well as several engineering and science courses and home economics courses, would be covered.
Payongayong said that other students will be vaccinated after the graduating students.
