THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines has adopted a ‘no fail policy’ for the first semester of Academic Year 2020-2021.

The UP Board or Regents approved the implementation of the ‘no fail policy’ on the same day that it rejected the call to end the semester early.

Under the policy, no grades of 4 or 5 will be given.

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs will release the guidelines soon.

The BOR rejected the #EndSemesterNow call of students and faculty members.

More than 15,000 people, including 300 faculty members, and over 200 student organizations have signed petitions initiated by the student councils and alliances of various UP units.
