UE STUDENT COUNCIL TO HOLD WEBINAR ON CAMPUS PRESS
THE UNIVERSITY of the East University Student Council together with the Association of Broadcasting Student and Journalism Society organized a webinar that will tackle the current state of campus press.
The event aims to “involve students in critical thinking and responsible citizenship”.
Dubbed “Tindig Kabataan Project: State of the Campus Press”, the webinar will be held on October 31 at 3 p.m. via Zoom and the USC Facebook page.
“This is in solidarity with the fight of every journalist, both campus and national, against any form of threats and danger inflicted on them,” the student council said.
Topics such as Essence of the Campus Press and its Impact to the University and Society, `Repression and Threats in Campus Press and Democratic Rights of the Student and Challenges in Journalism Amid Pandemic and its Effect to Campus Press will be discussed.
The guest speakers for the said webinar are journalists from ABS-CBN News and representatives from the College Editors Guild of the Philippines.
