PUP PARTNERS WITH 4 ORGANIZATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS
THE POLYTECHNIC University of the Philippines collaborated with four organizations for scholarships and support for financially challenged students.
“These scholarship partnership events highlight PUP’s commitment to empower its students through financial aid and holistic development programs,” the school said.
“By collaborating with esteemed organizations such as Asian Development Bank, Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines, Inc., Charity First Foundation, and Sun Life Financial, PUP aims to create a brighter future for its students and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen fields,” it added.
In March, the university hosted the courtesy call and fund turnover event with the Asian Development Bank and Spouses Association.
During the event, scholarship funds for Academic Year 2022–2023 were turned over to deserving students from various academic programs.
PUP also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines, Inc. on April 13, 2023.
The partnership ensured continued support for 52 scholars enrolled for A.Y. 2022-2023.
“The collaboration aims to implement Tzu Chi’s Education Assistance Program, which provides financial aid to qualified and financially challenged students,” PUP said.
“Additionally, the partnership will involve community engagement activities, career talks, job fairs, internships, and knowledge exchange programs, promoting holistic development among the scholars,” it added.
The university also welcomed representatives from Charity First Foundation, Inc. on May 12, 2023.
Through their Education Program, CFF will provide scholarship grants, values formation seminars, personality development workshops, and other related activities.
PUP also inked an agreement with Sun Life Financial Asia Services Limited to offer scholarship grants to deserving students pursuing studies in Computer Science or Information Technology for S.Y. 2023-2024.
