THE Pampanga State Agricultural University will have another campus under its belt, as a law establishing its Floridablanca campus has been enacted into law.

In a report by the Presidential Communications Office, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. signed Republic Act 11977, or the ‘Pampanga State Agricultural University-Floridablanca Campus Act’, last February 15, 2024.

Once established, the Floridablanca campus will offer short-term, technical vocational, undergraduate, and graduate courses.

It will be headed by a campus administrator, who will be appointed by PSAU’s governing board, with the recommendation of a search committee.

RA 11977 was one of the laws that were expedited by the Palace to boost higher learning in the Philippines, according to Senator Chiz Escudero.

PSAU, meanwhile, is also in talks for partnering with universities from Cambodia, in a bid to boost its internationalization efforts.
