THE PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila paid tribute to its former vice president and professor who passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020.

“The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila deeply mourns the passing of Professor Roberto J. Dela Cruz, who has served as Vice President for Administration of the University,” the PLM said on Facebook.

Aside from serving as vice president, Dela Cruz was also a math teacher at the university.

‘VP Obet’ was known for his passion for teaching mathematics as well as a key member of PLM’s Executive Committee, the school said.

Dela Cruz also served as the director of the Office of National Service Training Program and Dean of the College of Science in the university.

“VP Obet, you will be sorely missed by colleagues and friends. We are eternally grateful for your love, dedication, and service to PLM,” President Emmanuel Leyco said.

Other members of the PLM community also extended their condolences to the Dela Cruz’s family.

Dela Cruz’s cause of death was not disclosed.
