DLSU STUDENT NAMED 2022 EY YOUNG TAX PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR
A STUDENT from De La Salle University Manila was named as the Ernst and Young Global Delivery Services Young Tax Professional of the Year.
Trisha Huang, a BS in Applied Economics Major in Financial Economics and BS in Accountancy major, bested more than 2,200 participants from 30 colleges and universities, as well as EY GDS staff and interns from Argentina, India and the Philippines.
The awarding was held in India last December 8, 2022. Huang was among the Top 5 global finalists.
This is the second straight year that a DLSU student won the EY GDS YTPY.
Accountancy major Henrico Gustav Mikhail Sanchez won the title in 2021 and placed third overall in the global YTPY tilt.
“Huang will move on to the global YTPY competition in London in March 2023 where she will compete with other country winners for the ultimate global YTPY title,” DLSU said.
Now on its fifth year, EY Young Tax Professional of the Year global competition allows participants to learn new skills, meet other young professionals, liaise with EY tax leaders and exhibit their own talents.
