CONSTRUCTION OF UP BUILDING IN NEW CLARK BEGINS
THE CONSTRUCTION of the first building of the University of the Philippines in New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac has begun.
The phase 1 of the construction will eat up 4,500 square meters of the 76 hectares of land designated for the university near the National Government and Administrative Center and Access Road and the NCC- McArthur-SCTEX access road.
UP Assistant Vice President for Public Affairs Maria Angelica Abad said that UP-NCC is expected to become a hub for education, research, training and collaboration that will focus on sustainable development.
UP President Danilo Concepcion said that the said building is designed to be the main headquarters of the UP Open University and satellite sites of the UP Manila PGH, the National Institutes of Health and the College of Medicine, and the UP Diliman College of Engineering.
The project is in collaboration with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority and the Department of Public Works and Highways.
