THE CEBU Normal University has opened the application for the first state-funded medical school with scholarship in Central Visayas.

CNU said that its College of Medicine will accept scholars under the Doktor Para sa Bayan Act which aims to create homegrown doctors to address the country’s medical needs.

The admission for Academic Year 2022-2023 will be until February 15, 2021.

Scholars under the Doktor Para sa Bayan Act or Republic Act 11509 will enjoy free tuition and other fees, allowance for books, supplies, and equipment, clothing and uniform, among others.

Under the law, medical graduates will have to render service at a public facility in exchange for their scholarship.
