STUDENTS from the Ateneo de Manila University won in the MART x CFAP Cup: Inter-Collegiate Bonds Trading Competition.

The team composed of Rae Kendrick Ramos Dominguez, Renee Jainar Pimentel, Ron Jacob Canlas Tungul and Jesus Venancio Yanto Viray was declared overall champion in the competition.

They also bagged the Best in Market Timing and the Alpha Team awards.

Best in Market Timing was awarded to the team that achieved the highest spread from trading a specific security, while Alpha Team was given to the team that generated the highest total returns (MTM + realized gains + accrual income) throughout the competition.

Held by the Money Market Association of the Philippines and the Chartered Financial Analyst Society Philippines, the MART x CFAP Cup is a two-month market simulation game where college students test their expertise in market reading, fixed income analysis and trading under real-world market scenarios.

Fifteen schools participated in the event, including DLSU, UST, FEU, NU and UP.
