SENATOR ON FILIPINO YOUTH DAY: END EDUCATION CRISIS NOW
SENATOR Sherwin Gatchalian marked Filipino Youth Day with a strong call to urgently address the country’s education crisis, stressing that quality education is key to unlocking the full potential of the nation’s youth.
“I join the entire nation in celebrating Filipino Youth Day, which we mark today alongside the birth of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal,” Gatchalian said.
“This occasion serves as a powerful reminder of Rizal’s enduring faith in the potential of the Filipino youth,” he added.
The senator emphasized that to truly honor Rizal’s legacy and support the development of future generations, immediate reforms in the education system are needed.
“For our youth to reach their full potential, we must ensure that they receive education of the highest quality,” he said.
“It is urgent for us to stem the country’s education crisis. Sa pagwakas natin ng krisis sa edukasyon, maihahatid natin sa bawat bata ang mas magandang kinabukasan,” he added.
Gatchalian has long championed comprehensive education reform, advocating for investments in infrastructure, teacher training, and curriculum development to improve learning outcomes nationwide.
