TESDA LAUNCHES TECH-VOC BLUEPRINT
THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority launched the National Technical Education and Skills Development Plan 2023-2028, the blueprint for the technical vocational education and training sector.
TESDA Director General Suharto Mangudadatu, United States Ambassador to the Philippines Marykay Carlson and DOLE Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma led the launching at the Peninsula Hotel in Makati City.
The NTESDP 2023-2028 was formulated by TESDA in consultation with different stakeholders as mandated under Republic Act 7796, and with the support of the United States Agency for International Development.
“The NTESDP 2023-2028 captures the government’s more inclusive and aggressive approach in creating a globally competitive workforce and fostering economic growth through continuous skilling, reskilling, and upskilling in the context of lifelong learning,” Mangudadatu said.
“This will be realized through the collaborative spirit of various sectors working together to shape a brighter future for the Philippines,” he added.
