THE DEPARTMENT of Education ordered the Schools Division Office to coordinate with the Colegio San Agustin Makati regarding the fighting incident between two Grade 9 students which went viral online.

DepEd said that it is taking steps to stop bullying and other forms of abuse in schools.

“The DepEd, through its Learner Rights and Protection Office, has been spearheading efforts against bullying, as well as all forms of abuse, in our schools,” DepEd said.

“We were informed that an investigation on the matter is already being conducted by school officials. We shall continue to monitor the developments,” it added.

The CSA is conducting an investigation of the fist-fight of two minors in one of the school’s toilets. A video of the incident circulated online.

“We will address this incident with proper interventions upholding fairness and justice to everyone involved,” CSA Makati Rector Fr. Dante Bendoy said.
