LAWMAKER EYES MORE E-SCHOOLS ACROSS THE NATION

/ 21 November 2022

TUTOK To Win party-list Rep. Sam Verzosa wants the establishment of more e-schools to provide more students access to education.

The lawmaker said that building more e-schools is the reason why he chose to become the vice chairman of the Committee on Poverty Alleviation and Disaster Resilience at the House of Representatives.

So far, Versoza said 10 e-schools have been established, three of which are in Camotes Island, Cebu.

The E-skwela program is focused in Luzon but it will be expanded to Mindanao and Visayas, he said.

“For those in far-flung areas, they need Internet or printers. We will continue to build e-schools to provide help and online presence for our students,” he said.

“We will make sure that all sectors will receive help,” Verzosa added.
