THE LIGHT Rail Transit Authority will provide free rides in LRT-2 for students from Monday to Saturday.

“Magmula Lunes hanggang Sabado ‘yung ating programa. Pagdating ng Linggo, dahil wala namang pasok, o holidays, hindi na kasama, may bayad tayo,” LRTA Administrator Hernando Cabrera said.

Students need to show their ID or enrollment form to get a single journey ticket.

LRTA expects around 25,000 students to benefit from the “Libreng Sakay” program once the classes begin on August 22.

Graduate school students are not included in the program.

Cabrera said they have fixed all the facilities in LRT2 stations.

“Ang instruction is dapat walang tumirik na mga tren kapag dumagsa ang mga estudyante natin,” he added.
