DTI TO RELEASE SRP OF SCHOOL SUPPLIES NEXT WEEK
THE DEPARTMENT of Trade and Industry said it will release the suggested retail prices of school supplies next week.
DTI Undersecretary Ruth Castelo said that they will base the SRP range on the quality of the item, volume and where it was made.
Castelo cited notebooks as example, saying that their prices will depend on how many pages they have. The price of the ruler will be based on its material— wood, plastic or metal.
Another factor in determining the SRP of the products is the location where it is sold or may be purchased. Prices of school supplies in Divisoria differ from those sold on the mall.
