SENATORIAL candidate Harry Roque said that he will set up a textbook and module committee to address concerns on erroneous educational modules.

Roque, who is a University of the Philippines law professor, said that textbooks and modules should be reviewed carefully.

“Talagang importanteng pag-aralan ‘yung mga libro at tska ‘yung mga modules na ginagamit ng ating kabataan. Mahalaga po na bago natin ibigay sa learners ay masiguro natin na accurate ang information,” he said in an interview.

“Importante rin po lalong-lalo na ‘yung grammar na mapagtuunan din ng pansin dahil dadlhin po ito ng bata hanggang sa paglaki niya,” he added.

Factual and grammatical errors in learning materials have been reported since the pandemic two years ago.

From October 2020 to June 2021 alone, the Department of Education said 155 confirmed errors were found in materials used for distance learning.
