UP DILIMAN STUDENT COUNCIL SEEKS ACADEMIC BREAK

THE UNIVERSITY  of the Philippines Diliman Student Council urged Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte to declare a two-week wellness and recovery break.

“We humbly ask your good office to declare at least two weeks of genuine recovery break to allow everyone to rest after weeks of coping up with the surge and calamity,” the group said.

The student council said that a beak would also give students time to prepare for the next semester.

The UP Diliman community said countless of students and faculty members either have Covid19 symptoms or a member of their family had contracted the virus.

UPDSC said that despite the alarming health situation, students, faculty and staff need to attend to their academic tasks to meet deadlines.

The group appealed to the city government to show solidarity with students and faculty members.
