WATERBEAR NETWORK LAUNCHES IN THE PHILIPPINES THIS DECEMBER
The first interactive streaming platform dedicated for the future of the planet.
If you’re a fan of nature-themed films and documentaries, this news will excite you. From being available to only a couple of countries, they made a huge leap by introducing the platform to 149 English-speaking countries, including ours! Now, we can also access WaterBear for free and watch their contents without ads!
WaterBear has been founded in 2020 with the whole-hearted support of huge personalities like Prince Harry the Duke of Sussex, Lily Cole a model and an activist, and Maisie Williams. Because what’s not to like? WaterBear is not your typical streaming platform, it only features motivational films and series about biodiversity, preserving the environment, fighting climate change, and so much more.
Aside from watching, users are also given the chance to connect and take action to existing causes that are featured in the said website. They are encouraged to donate or volunteer whenever they can, create photos/videos, and/or simply share the films on their social media accounts.
All throughout its existence, WaterBear Network has partnered with different NGOs to support their goal. And this year, as they launch here in the Philippines, they will team up with the local ambassador Issa Barte, who will help them create more local contents aside from the existing ones and the NGO For the Future to help them in their goal to plant a tree for every sign-up made here in the Philippines (Only for the first 1,000 new members).
Ellen Windemuth, the CEO and founder of WaterBear is delighted to include Philippines to their project. Saying, “We are thrilled to be expanding into The Philippines, bringing our breadth of content to an even larger audience, further supporting our mission to drive global impact through storytelling. We are looking forward to continuing to curate and produce documentaries that relate to the most pressing issues in The Philippines and worldwide, empowering individuals with solutions and tools to make a difference.”
WaterBear is also available for download on both Android and IOS, so what are you waiting for? Sign up now and join this growing community of nature-helping people. Watch, learn, be aware of the current situation of our environment both globally and locally, and engage to their causes to help the future of our planet.
