FASHIONABLY HOME-GROWN: THE PHILIPPINE ONLINE STUDENT TIANGGE KICK’S OFF WITH AN EPISODE ON “CLOTHING”
“Ang inyong bagong Saturday afternoon tambayan, nandito na ang The POSTiangge!”
Following the launch of The Philippine Online Student Tiangge (The POSTiangge) with “Usapang Online Business: Isang Webinar” featuring guest speaker Business Franchise Guru Mr. Butz Bartolome, its pilot episode all about “Clothing” aired at 4:00 PM on October 30. This marks the beginning of our weekly Saturday afternoon tambays listening to the inspiring stories of creative and hardworking student and teacher online sellers.
Damitan, pormahan, fashionan. The guests of this pilot episode were owners of online clothing shops. Host Mark Julius Eusebio first talked to this week’s featured student online seller, Ejey Lustado. Ejey is a 2nd year Civil Engineering student from Lucena. He is also the owner of InkyPrintneurship which started out as a school project that Ejey has now transformed into a full-fledged online shop that you can find on Facebook, Instagram, and Shopee.
InkyPrintneurship offers unique t-shirt designs. Printed onto their shirts are Baybayin designs that range from being zodiac-related to featuring famous OPM songs. Through this online business Ejey has been able to help out his family, buy machinery he needs to expand his business, and fund his hobby of photography and videography. At 20 years old, Ejey is already financially responsible and displays great entrepreneurial knowledge.
The teacher online seller that was featured in this episode is none other than Pauline Perez, owner of Hulagpos PH. Despite being a master’s student and a teacher all at the same time, Ma’am Pauline still manages to run her online clothing store and do live selling along with her Mommy Jaq. Through selling branded overruns and preloved clothes, Hulagpos PH is able to prove that being fashionable and stylish need not cost you too much.
Despite Hulagpos PH only opening up shop earlier this year, Ma’am Pauline was able to quickly grow her business along with her loved ones. She was able to accomplish this all while studying and teaching through discipline and effective time management. She shared that though her time and responsibilities are divided, she makes it a point to always give everything she does her hundred percent.
Ma’am Pauline excitedly shared her plans to launch her own clothing eventually. There is definitely much to look forward to with Hulagpos PH which you can find on Facebook and Shopee.
Ejey and Ms. Pauline were able to share not only their awe-inspiring success stories as online sellers but also helpful tips and valuable wisdom to those who might want to open up their own online shops.
This week it was “Clothing” and next week it will be all about “Food”! This episode will air on November 6, 4:00 PM at The Philippine Online Student Tambayan Facebook page. The POSTiangge will be featuring student and teacher online sellers of food products who, like Ejey and Ms. Pauline, have more uplifting and knowledge-filled stories to tell. Remember to stay tuned and support local, mga katambay!
