ATENEO, LA SALLE URGES FANS TO WEAR PINK ON THEIR UAAP-MATCH
The UAAP rival school Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) and De La Salle University (DLSU) have united and urged their fans to wear pink today for their second confrontation in UAAP Season 84.
An ocean of pink will be displayed instead of an ocean of blue and green in the MOA Arena as ADMU president Fr. Bobby Yap, SJ and DLSU president Bro. Bernie Oca, FSC publicly announced yesterday their encouragement for the fans to wear pink.
“On Tuesday, we wear pink. Fr. Bobby and Br. Bernie encourage Ateneans and Lasallians for Leni to wear pink during the coming Ateneo-La Salle game,” both DLSU and ADMU announced on social media.
For the record, pink is the campaign color of Vice President Leni Robredo.
While it was not the first time that the rival school unified to ditch one’s school color as they also did it back in 2016 by urging the fans to wear black in condemnation of the extrajudicial killings under the Duterte administration.
Also, in 2009, the sea of blue and green was absent as this was converted into yellow in commemoration of the death of the late president Cory Aquino.
And now, the Blue Eagles and Green Archers will make a historic move again today at 7pm in their second face-off.
