The 22-year old made his UAAP-debut when the Bulldogs began their title-retention for a 2-peat men’s basketball last 2015. This 5-foot-10 guard ended his career with NU after a three-season run down.

Gallego was one of the main scorers for the Bulldogs together with Dave Ildefonso.

In their season-ender match with UE last UAAP Season 82, Gallego topscored the Bulldogs with 20 points, five rebounds, and four assists while Dave Ildefonso collected 20 points, five assists, and three boards.

Gallego will play for the flag of the Mendiola-based squad for 2 more years alongside a backloaded courtCalvin Oftana, James Canlas, rookies Rhayyan Amsali, Peter Alfaro, Ralph Penuela, and Prince Etrata.

Despite the decamping of Evan Nelle for the Green Archers, this 22-year old will add more firepower to the team whereas he averaged 7.2 points on 40-percent shooting from deep, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists last season.

In addition, Gallego was also named a co-MVP of the 2015 SLAM Rising Stars Challenge with a score of 18 points leaving the Team Hype in defeat, 103-95.

NU Bulldogs also lost Ildefonso to Ateneo, and Kevin Quiambao, Carl Tamayo, and Gerry Abadiano from the juniors program.
