THE SCHOOLS Division Office of Kabankalan City in Western Visayas issued a memorandum reiterating the health and safety protocols in light of COVID-19.

Schools and learning centers are advised to ensure the availability of functional handwashing facilities with soap, and conduct group handwashing activities and adequate ventilation in enclosed and shared spaces.

All learners, personnel, and visitors inside the classrooms, laboratories and other school rooms were also advised to wear face mask at all times.

SDO also encouraged learners and personnel to get vaccinated as Department of Education continues to recognize vaccination as among the most effective strategies for the prevention of COVID-19.

“All schools and learning centers shall exercise due diligence and take precautionary measures to minimize exposure to risks associated with COVID-19 and support government efforts to contain the spread of the virus,” the memo read.
