SENATOR JV Ejercito has urged graduates of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) to uphold integrity and shun corruption as they embark on their professional careers.

Speaking before more than 1,000 Iskolar ng Bayan during the university’s commencement exercises, Ejercito reminded the graduates that while a good reputation takes years to build, it can be destroyed in seconds.

The senator also pledged to support funding for the completion of PUP’s nine-story North Wing building.

The project, initiated by PUP President Manuel Muhi, aims to expand the university’s facilities and accommodate its growing student population.

Ejercito also recalled his role as mayor of San Juan in establishing the PUP San Juan Campus in 2008, saying the initiative was intended to give local residents greater access to quality and affordable higher education.
