HALF OF ANTIQUE DEPED PERSONNEL ALREADY VACCINATED BY LGUs
LOCAL government units in Antique already vaccinated nearly half of the total number of personnel at the Department of Education.
DepEd-Antique School Governance and Operations Division chief Evely Remo said 3,082 out of 6,957 teachers and non-teaching staff of DepEd-Antique had received their Covid19 jabs.
Meanwhile, Remo said many teachers requested a specific time or day for their respective vaccination.
“Many teachers were able to avail of Covid19 vaccination in the three districts of Tobias Fornier, Pandan, and Sebaste because they were given priority by their LGUs,” she said.
Integrated Provincial Health Office Infectious Diseases Cluster head Sheree Vego urged LGUs to prioritize vaccinating teachers.
Teachers are under the A4 priority group or the economic sector, while some belong to the A2 or senior citizens and A3 or those with comorbidities.
