GRADUATING STUDENTS IN VALENZUELA CITY TO RECEIVE EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES
A TOTAL of 16,252 graduating students in Valenzuela City are qualified to receive educational incentives from the local government office.
The students are expected to receive a cash incentive worth P1,500 each until May 21.
The first batch of financial assistance given out from May 15-18 covers 2,098 beneficiaries from six public elementary schools.
“Hindi naman po ganoong kalakihan ang ibibigay po ng lokal na pamahalaan ngunit kahit papaano po sana makatulong ito sa inyong mga gastusin at higit sa lahat, sana ito po’y maging motibasyon natin na lalo pa nating pagbutihin ang ating pag-aaral sa susunod na school year,” Mayor Weslie Gatchalian said.
The cash incentive is under Ordinance No. 551, Series of 2019, and Ordinance No. 1110, Series of 2023 entitled ‘An ordinance granting financial assistance to every graduating elementary and senior high school students and additional financial grant to the top five honor students in all public schools in Valenzuela City.’
There will be an additional financial grant to the top five honor students aside from the initial P1,500 educational incentive to acknowledge their academic achievements throughout the school year.
An additional P1,500 cash is granted to Top 1 honor students, P1,000 to Top 2 honor students, and P500 for Top 3, 4, and 5 honor students.
