THE DEPARTMENT of Education’s division in Davao del Norte welcomed its new superintendent on Monday — Reynaldo Mellorida.

“SDS Mellorida’s vast experience and strong commitment to education make him well-equipped to lead the division in addressing the challenges faced by the sector,” DepEd Davao Del Norte said.

Mellorida assumed his post as Schools Division Superintendent on April 3.

“Respect is earned, not given… I don’t need to tell you who I am; you don’t need to tell me who you are. But soon enough, we will get to know each other in the course of performing our services [to the Division],” he said in his message.

Mellorida will lead the division in implementing education policies and programs that will benefit students and teachers.

To advance education in the community, he intends to work with the local government, non-government organizations, and other stakeholders.

Mellorida vowed to work with all stakeholders to ensure that every student has access to high-quality education.
