DAVOCC SUSPENDS F2F CLASSES TO FACILITATE INFRASTRUCTURE INSPECTION AFTER 7.2 TEMBLOR
THE provincial government of Davao Occidental has ordered the suspension of face-to-face classes at all levels for two days from November 20 to 21 to give way to inspection teams on infrastructures after the earthquake.
Work will also be suspended in the province, according to Memorandum Order No. 137.
“All school heads, safety officers, SDRRM, MDRRM, and PDRRM teams are advised to do a rapid and thorough inspection of all school buildings to ensure safety and security for all students, teachers, and employees,” it added.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said that Sarangani, Davao Occidental, was rocked by an earthquake of magnitude 7.2 on Friday.
According to the Department of Education, 16 schools in the province had infrastructural damage, with an estimated P111 million in repairs.
