OVER a thousand students in Maguindanao del Norte and Cotabato City received P10,000 each from the Educational Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation.

It was a project by Congresswoman Bai Dimple Mastura in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Region 12.

Mastura said this is the second payout conducted by her office to the students from her district who needed money to support their families and studies.

The lawmaker added there are additional scholarships from the Commission on Higher Education and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority available to students.

The lawmaker advised the students to study hard because education is the only legacy their parents can give them that they can carry into adulthood.
