THE Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute extended the application period for its 2021 Junior Level Science Scholarships Program.

DOST-SEI said it move the deadline on November 30 to allow aspiring scholars to complete the requirements needed for their application.

“The additional month will allow students to secure their documentary requirements and complete the process via the E-Application System,” DOST-SEI Director Dr. Josette Biyo said.

The Institute also notified the DOST Regional Offices, Provincial Science and Technology Centers, and network universities of the extended application period.

The JLSS program aims to support education of third year college students enrolled in priority science, technology, engineering and mathematics courses from identified academic institutions.

It has three component programs – RA 7687 program, which is meant for socioeconomically challenged students; Merit program, aimed at students with high aptitude in STEM; and RA 10612, a program to accelerate the production of science and mathematics teachers in secondary schools.
