/ 11 April 2021

Inihain nina Kabataan Partylist Rep. Sarah Jane Elago, ACT Teachers Partylist Rep. France Castro, Gabriela Women’s Partylist Rep. Arlene Brosas at Bayan Muna Partylist Reps. Carlos Isagani Zarate, Ferdinand Gaite at Eufemia Cullamat ang House Bill 0325 o ang proposed National Filipino Youth Museum Act.

“The Filipino youth played key roles in the nation’s historic struggle for liberation, justice, peace and prosperity,” pahayag ng mga kongresista sa kanilang explanatory note.

“In light of these historical facts, a national institution dedicated to the heritage, heroism, and martyrdom of the Filipino youth is yet to be established,” paliwanag pa ng mga mambabatas.

“The youth’s historic contributions to people’s struggles for freedom, rights and equality should not go unvalued and unnoticed, leaving a gap in our collective memory as a nation,” dagdag pa ng mga ito.

Batay sa panukala, isasama sa mandato ng National Commission for Culture and Arts at iba pang kaukulang ahensiya ang pagtatayo at operasyon ng National Filipino Youth Museum.
