THE MANILA City Government is opening its special program for the employment of students to 800 learners and out-of-school youth in the city.

The program aims to provide temporary employment to every student and OSY who wants to earn money.

Students and OSY who are 16 to 30 years old are eligible to apply for the program through https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf1k_qyQmqm_5n9ATxtSzGY8Lltb0080fJmunyKMkEANjBEuw /viewform.

The local government also reminded applicants that they must wait for the call from the Manila Public Employment Service Office online facilitator to confirm their registration before completing their documentary requirements including the SPES form, 2×2 picture with the last name, first name, and middle name, a photocopy of the birth certificate or any document indicating the date of birth or age.

The program also requires a photocopy of the latest Income Tax Return of their parents or legal guardian, or the certification issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue that their parents or guardians are exempted from payment of tax, or the original certificate of indigence, or the original certificate of low income issued by the barangay where the applicants are residents.

The city government added that a student applicant is required to have either a photocopy of proof of an average passing grade, such as a class card or Form 138 of the previous semester or year, immediately preceding the application.

Original copy of certification by the school registrar as to passing grade immediately preceding the semester or year, if grades are not yet available.

For the out-of-school youth applicants, the city only required the original copy of the certification as OSY issued by the barangay where they live.

It said that the registration is on a “first come, first served” basis, and only those who have completed the requirements will be processed.
