/ 30 December 2021

‘Tower on Wheels’ deployed as restoration efforts continue

Globe’s mobile services are back in Negros Island enabling call, text and data for our customers. Negros Occidental is now fully restored, while 21 municipalities in Negros Oriental are back up.

In Cebu, mobile network services in most cities and municipalities have also been restored. Tower on Wheels were deployed to provide back-up connectivity while restoration efforts are ongoing.

And in Palawan, three new municipalities namely Araceli, Dumaran and San Vicente were added to the restored list.

Globe’s field teams are working round the clock to bring communications facilities back up following the devastation caused by Typhoon Odette. More towns are seeing significant progress in repairs.

Globe, with the help of local government units, made it possible to hasten restoration efforts across different provinces hit by the typhoon.
