DEPED GETS BRONZE AWARD FROM CSC
THE DEPARTMENT of Education Central Office received a bronze award from the Civil Service Commission for its excellence in human resource management.
The department met the PRIME-HRM Level 2-Maturity Indicators in all four core areas — recruitment, selection, and placement; learning and development; performance management; and rewards and recognition.
The commission determined that DepEd maintained its HR records management and was in compliance with all civil service laws, rules and regulations regarding the issuance of appointments and other HR programs.
With the award, DepEd can approve appointments subject to post audit.
The department has to maintain the PRIME-HRM status under Level 2 and further improve its HRM systems to meet the maturity indicators of the next higher level.
