PLM NURSING STUDENTS PROMOTE BREASTFEEDING AT OSPITAL NG TONDO

/ 13 September 2026

NURSING students from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) conducted a breastfeeding education lecture for patients at the Obstetrics Out-Patient Department (OPD-OB) of Ospital ng Tondo to promote maternal and child health.

The activity supports the health advocacy of Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso, which seeks to improve the well-being of Manila residents through preventive healthcare and community education.

The lecture provided pregnant women and mothers with information on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, proper breastfeeding techniques, newborn care, and other essential practices that promote the health and well-being of both mothers and their infants.

Ospital ng Tondo said it will continue its partnership with PLM in providing health education and community-based programs under the leadership of OIC Hospital Director Dr. Edwin C. Perez.

Hospital officials said the initiative reinforces their commitment to equipping patients with the knowledge and support they need for healthier pregnancies and better infant care.
