A TOTAL of 45 schools from eight different regions have been damaged amid the onslaught of super typhoon Carina, the Department of Education said Wednesday.
A TOTAL of 45 schools from eight different regions have been damaged amid the onslaught of super typhoon Carina, the Department of Education said Wednesday.
These were from eight regions which include CAR, Region 1, Region 2, Region 3, Region 4-A, Region 4-B, Region 6, and Region 8.
According to DepEd, the cost of typhoon damage has now reached to around P308.50 million.
Meanwhile, 21 schools are being used as evacuation centers.
On Wednesday night, Malacañang suspended classes at all levels and work in government offices for Thursday (25 July 2024) in Regions III, IV-A, and the National Capital Region due to continuous heavy rains brought about by the Southwest Monsoon and super typhoon Carina.
The National Capital Region has been placed under a state of calamity.
