CHAVIT SINGSON, DAUGHTER IN-LAW BACK OUT IN ILOCOS POLL RACE
NARVACAN Mayor Luis ‘Chavit’ Singson and his daughter-in-law Patch Savellano-Singon both withdrew their certificates of candidacy for the vice governor and governor posts in Ilocos Sur.
NARVACAN Mayor Luis ‘Chavit’ Singson and his daughter-in-law Patch Savellano-Singon both withdrew their certificates of candidacy for the vice governor and governor posts in Ilocos Sur.
“Nag-withdraw kami ni Patch, for the sake of the family. Kalimutan na lahat,” Chavit said, noting that misunderstanding led to family members vying for the same position in the province.
Patch is the wife of Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Luis Singson.
On October 1, Chavit and Ryan filed their COCs for vice governor, while Patch and Chavit’s brother Jerry filed for governor.
Chavit said that his sons Ryan and Ronald are already talking to each other amid the supposed disagreement because of politics.
Ronald filed his COC for the congressional race, challenging incumbent 1st District Rep. Deogracias Victor Savellano, who is Ryan’s father-in-law.
