WVSU SEES MARKED INCREASE IN ENROLLMENT FOR A.Y. 2022-23
THE WEST Visayas State University saw an increase in enrollment from the previous year to the current Academic Year 2022-2023.
The school said from 20,576 enrollees from last academic year, the current one recorded a total of 21,650 enrollees on all of its campuses.
Its main campus along La Paz had 9,286 enrollees, according to Office of the Admissions and Records Director Mardy Ledesma.
Baccalaureate programs have a total of 6,608 enrollees.
Of the number, College of Education has 1,631, College of Business and Management with 1,049, College of Arts and Sciences with 1,044, College of Information and Communications Technology with 840, and College of Communication with 510.
The college of nursing, on the other hand, has 487, College of Medicine with 476, and College of Dentistry with 84 total enrollees.
The university’s Integrated Laboratory School also recorded a total of 595 enrollees.
Post-Baccalaureate Programs also raked a total of 212 enrollees, 136 of which are under Distance Education, while 76 are in the College of Law
Its graduate school also has 1,871 enrollees.
WVSU started the conduct of the school year’s first semester last August 15 and will last until Dec. 23.
