THE UNIVERSITY of the Philippines-Visayas Tacloban College organized a psychoeducation workshop at SOS Children’s Village in Tacloban city.

The workshop was led by Assistant Professor Ruth Edisel Rylle Sadian Cercado and 10 senior BA psychology students at Barangay Tigbao on January 21.

“Psychoeducation emphasizes topics on children’s mental health, stress, parenting, and support system,” the university said.

“Mothers and guardians of the children and workers in the shelter participated in the workshop and series of small discussions,” it added.

Another series of activities will be held in February in time for Children’s Mental Health Week.
